A downloadable game

Buy Me a Coffee at ko-fi.com

Pilot the prototype ZeeWolf gunship through a war fought across islands, mountain ranges, industrial complexes and naval strongholds. Enemy forces attack from land, sea and air, every sortie brings new targets, threatened allies, captured personnel and vehicles that must be recovered before they fall into enemy hands.

The original ZeeWolf, developed by Binary Asylum and released in 1994, combined fast solid-3D combat with tactical mission design and remarkable freedom for an Amiga action game. ZeeWolf 2: Wild Justice followed in 1995 with larger battles, new environments and controllable vehicles. This reimplementation brings both games to modern systems: two complete 32-mission campaigns reconstructed from the original releases.

Read each briefing, study the battlefield and decide how to complete its objectives. Destroy defences, escort friendly units, rescue prisoners, transport vehicles by winch, land to rearm and refuel, and deploy cannon, rockets and air-to-air missiles against enemy armour, aircraft, ships and installations.

Features

  • Both complete campaigns: 64 missions across ZeeWolf and ZeeWolf 2: Wild Justice
  • Modern keyboard and analog controller support
  • Widescreen, high-resolution 3D presentation at modern frame rates, with smooth movement and the original low-poly identity preserved
  • Modern lighting, with dynamic shadows and reflective water
  • Classic graphics mode for nostalgia boost (or people who like to stare at black sky)
  • Three weapon systems: cannon, rockets and air-to-air missiles
  • Combat against land, sea and air forces
  • Destructible vehicles, buildings and mission targets
  • Rescue, escort, transport, defence and seek-and-destroy objectives
  • Landing gear, winch operations, limited fuel and ammunition, and carrier resupply
  • Remote control of additional vehicles in ZeeWolf 2
  • All the usual goodies: Save slots, Easy-mode checkpoints, High scores, In-game achievements

Not my kind of Amiga game, but thank you for your work!

Guess I'll be having to make a video of this as soon as it's out too! If I can stop playing Ruff that is...

Does "modern systems" refer to Amiga systems or PC?

It's modern modern so PC/Linux

Thanx for clarification.

Did you notice Amiga Pistorm gets 3D accelleration? Quake 1&2 already running decently in 1024x768@32bits...

yup. my CM4 powered A1200 can’t wait.

looks great, looking forward to it 🙌

It looks absolutely fantastic!

I like the reflections! Can't wait to see how explosions look like!:)

Ideas:

- low-polygon clouds & sun & ... (to cover the upper half of the screen)

-Adjustable top+down angle?

- Are the 3D assets (models) loaded from the original (ADF) game (similar to *Ruff*)? It would be an interesting option if the models (and, in the case of *Ruff*, the graphics and perhaps even the sounds) could be swapped for higher-resolution versions.

Great ideas, for sure will consider some of them.

About assets, they are straight from the adf, converted from vector to ordinary triangles. But as with all my releases, assets swap is super easy, I just need artists

Hi!

I don't want to force  it (or demanding any unnecessery feature that nobady want), but if you are intrested I can give it a try! Can you extract/share the models in a some (obj, fbx or similar) format  that a 3d-modeller can handle?

Anyway: Good luck with the developement!

Definitely needs low-res mode, ie. render lower-res, expand to display... interested anyway!

So the original game?

Nope! Your screenshots in lo-res would look very different to the original still, with the distance, reflections, sky, lighting, etc.

Looks cool!!
