Nelumbo /nɪˈlʌmboʊ/ is a genus of aquatic plants with large, showy flowers. Members are commonly called lotus.

Put your foot down and race through mountain roads, forests, cities, marshes and night-time highways where the scenery changes quickly and the traffic changes lanes even quicker. Rival drivers crowd the racing line, ordinary cars get in the way, road surfaces fight back and the next blind crest may be hiding a bend, a jump or both.

Lotus is without a doubt THE racing series when it comes to this genre on the Amiga with Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge which began the journey, Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 - a fan favorite and Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge which brought 3rd car and a bit of futurism. Nelumbo brings all three together in one modern reimplementation, rebuilt from the original releases while preserving the character of each game.

Choose a campaign, learn its roads and try to keep the car pointing in roughly the correct direction. Thread through traffic, fight for position, read the warning signs, survive changing surfaces and carry as much speed as you dare over hills, ramps and narrow roadside gaps.

Features

  • Three Lotus campaigns together in one game
  • Fast arcade racing against rivals, traffic and the road itself
  • Three distinct driving experiences, each with its own courses, hazards, graphics and race display

  • Expanded draw distance and richer roadside scenery without losing the original visual identity
  • Radio and sound effects at the same time
  • Usual goodies - high scores, achievements and all that jazz

nice :)

amazing!

please consider an option to remove the obstacles on tracks (like rocks), and play the games as pure racing games

i agree with hexaee, judging the trailer video seems missing a bit of sense of speed atm

Neat! When's Zeewolf done btw? :D :D :D

A week? Maybe two?

... make it a little bit faster! ;)

Relative to old game or just faster? Because it is exactly the same speed as the old one. You can measure it yourself by playing Lotus 2 forest course or watching it on YouTube - it takes around 4 minutes and in my video it is exactly the same.
